Species

A variety of species are targeted commercially and recreationally throughout the Northumberland IFCA district along with some key species of interest in the region. Shellfish species make up the majority of species caught commercially and are the most economically important to the region. There are also important recreational fisheries in the district targeting both finfish and shellfish. See below for further details on key species.
