The Northumberland Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority have developed a voluntary code of conduct for bait collection on the Blyth estuary. On 12th May NIFCA began an informal consultation upon the draft Code of Conduct. The views of interested parties will be extremely welcome and will be considered by the Authority before the planned formal launch of the Code of Conduct in June when public information signs will be placed at convenient locations adjacent to the estuary.
