Reporting Lost & Found Tags

Reporting lost or recovered pot tags helps NIFCA maintain accurate records and helps support us in the management of local shellfish fisheries.

    Report a tag

    We will only use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry and manage our correspondence with you. Your personal data will be handled securely and in accordance with our data protection obligations.

    Have you found a NIFCA pot tag? Let us know using this form. These tags are usually attached to fishing pots targeting shellfish and help us manage fisheries sustainably within the NIFCA district. They allow us to identify the owner of the gear and monitor how many pots each fisher is using.

    If the tag you have found is still attached to fishing equipment, please let us know so we can help reunite it with the owner. If the tag is loose, it can be disposed of responsibly.
