NIFCA’s work is delivered by a dedicated team of Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Officers, environmental specialists, and support staff committed to protecting North Tyneside and Northumberland’s inshore waters.
United by purpose
Our team operates year-round across every corner of the district. On the front line, our officers are active at sea and along the shoreline, conducting essential patrols, scientific research, and direct engagement with both commercial and recreational fishers.
Supported by our administrative and technical specialists at the office, the Authority remains efficient, transparent, and fully aligned with our national mandate. Together, we blend deep local knowledge with professional rigour to maintain a balanced, working coastline.
Our senior leadership team provides strategic direction and ensures NIFCA fulfils its statutory responsibilities, guiding the Authority’s work across the district.
