Strategic Environmental Assessment: Post-adoption report
Northumberland IFCA commissioned Mott MacDonald to undertake a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of shellfish and finfish fisheries under its management jurisdiction in accordance with the European Directive 2001/42/EC (known as the SEA directive) and the resulting Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004.
The SEA has assessed the current NIFCA management regime of byelaws and regulations; the purpose of the SEA Post-Adoption Statement is to demonstrate how the findings and recommendations resulting from the SEA process were taken into account and have influenced the development of the Northumberland IFCA Fisheries Management regime.
